The game mode, also called gamemode, can be adjusted during gameplay, allowing one player to temporarily switch to creative mode or changing the mode for all players, depending on your preferences.

The different game modes

• survival: survival mode, Standard mode where acquiring resources and surviving monster attacks is required by default.
• creative: creative mode, equivalent to a "godmode" where players are invulnerable and can place blocks of their choice indefinitely, particularly useful for construction.
• adventure: adventure mode, Players have the ability to destroy blocks exclusively using specific items, with the main goal being to participate in games on pre-generated maps.
• spectator: spectator mode, to simply be able to observe the game.

Change the default game mode

To change your server's game mode:

1. Go to your FTP and find server.properties
   
2. Change the gamemode to the one you want
   

Note that this setting will only affect new players connecting to the server. To enforce the previously selected "gamemode" on all players joining the server, be sure to enable the force-gamemode option. force-gamemode.




Change game mode for single player only

It is possible to modify the game mode specific to a player, a valuable feature for administrators who want to switch to creative mode in order to move quickly on the server, benefit from invincibility, or even carry out rapid constructions and specific.

To do this, simply go to your Nexus panel and type in the console:

gamemode creative zeiko

creative being to be replaced by the desired gamemode and zeiko by the nickname of the targeted player.
